RRB NTPC Exam Pattern 2018: Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) recently released the RRB NTPC 2019 notification. More than 35000 appointments have been announced in various posts under the Notification Unofficial Popular Category (NPC). RRBs, RRCs, Paramedical Staff, Cabinet, Isolated Communities Appointments, Level 1 posts have also been announced. About 1.3 lakh vacancies have been announced this year. The registration process for RRB NTPC 2019 has already begun and the last date to apply for the exam is March 2019 31.

RRB NTPC Exam Model: RRB NTPC Selection Process
The RRB NTPC selection process involves the following stages:
First Step: RRB NTPC Preliminary Exam (1st Stage CBT)
2nd Stage: RRB NTPC Main Exam (2nd Step CBT)
Step 3: Skill Test:
A. Computer-based aptitude test for Station Master and Traffic Assistant;
B. Junior Clerk Typing Tutor, Junior Time Keeper, Accounts Clerk Typing, Senior Clerk Typing, Junior Account Assistant Computer Titician and Senior Time Keeper
Step 4: Document Verification
Step 5: Medical Examination
Candidates applying for trails clerk, commercial ticket clerk, Goods guard, senior commercial ticket clerk, and commercial apprentices directly go for document verification and medical examination after 2nd stage CBT. Candidate examination is required to clear each step of the next step.
The first phase of the RRB NTPC Examination (Prelims) for CBT

The total duration of the test is 90 minutes. 1/3 marks for each wrong answer will be removed.
The test will be held in multiple meetings. Therefore, the raw scores of the candidates will be normalized, so to overcome the problem caused by the variation that makes the documents harder. Based on simple scores, candidates are selected for the 2nd stage CBT.
Note that the first Stage CBT for all states is casual.
RRB NTPC Examination (Mains) for second phase CBT

The time limit for this step is 90 minutes and negative marking is 1/3 of every wrong answer.
Second Stage CBT is different from different posts. All the posts below the special 7th CPC Level (Level 2, 3, 4, 4 and 6) have the normal 2nd stage CBT. Also, the paper depends on the level of difficulty level.
RRB NTPC Examination Pattern for Computer based Aptitude Test (CBAT)
Candidates qualified in the 2nd stage CBT applied for the State Master (SMS) and Traffic Assistant posts should attend the exam. They must take at least T-score 42 marks in each test battery to test the eligibility.
This stage is not negative marking.
SM and TA will be selected for document verification based on the marks obtained by candidates in the 2nd Stage CBT and CBAT as the 2nd State CBT gives 70% and CBAT to 30%.
RRB NTPC Examination Test for Test Skill Test (TST)
This is the third stage in the selection process of candidates who apply for Junior Clerk Competition Titanium, Junior Time Keeper, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Senior Clerk Typing, Junior Account Assistant Compt Titist, Senior Timekeeper posts. Candidates qualified in the second stage CBT are called to this stage. However, at this stage only qualifying in nature.
The speed of assessment of candidates in English and Hindi is 30 minutes per minute and 40 words per minute.
